It is not clear how and when Ukraine can get a loan from the proceeds of frozen Russian assets for 50 billion dollars. Ukraine asks for a clear road map of how this money will be provided. This was stated by the deputy head of the Office of the President Iryna Mudra at the “Make Russia pay” conference, reports UNN.

What we have today, the end of September, when the decision of the “Big Seven” sounded in June of this year about 50 billion – today we have received zero integers and zero tenths

According to her, 1.4 billion euros from the frozen Russian assets, which the EU will direct to support Ukraine, remained in the EU. They will be used for Ukrainian needs, but Ukraine has not yet received anything from these funds.

“We don’t even have an oriented timeline for today, although the leaders of the “Big Seven” promised us in June that by the end of the year, Ukraine would already receive a part of these 50 billion. To date, we do not understand either organizationally, technically, or legally how this it will be seen through which instruments these 50 billion will be provided to us and under what conditions

Mudra urged to provide Ukraine with a clear road map of how this money will be provided to our country.

She also pointed out that progress on the use of Russian assets for the benefit of Ukraine is hampered by economic concerns.

“The main factor, having the experience of communicating with them for 2.5 years, I am convinced that today this is the biggest caveat that prevents us from getting these 50 billion – it is political will. Because when it is there, then legal constructions, safeguards against economic and financial shock can be worked out. And they have already been created. That’s why we don’t have the political will,” she added.
