We came to the USA for a positive response – the President during a meeting with the Ukrainian community

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi and First Lady Olena Zelenskyi met with the Ukrainian community in New York and viewed the exhibition “Olexandra Exter: The Stage is the World” at the Ukrainian Museum.

That’s itamong the participants of the meeting are managers and leaders of leading Ukrainian public organizations, cultural and financial institutions, scientists, educators.

“First of all, we thank our community for the invitation. For this opportunity not only to communicate, but, I will be frank, for this pleasure. There is very little time for art, and I want to thank you for these minutes. Satisfaction from the fact that this is really a promotion of Ukrainian identity,” said the Head of State.

Volodymyr Zelenskyi noted that the Ukrainian community always helps to maintain the attention of the US to Ukraine, and called to continue this work.

The President spoke about the steps Ukraine is taking for the sake of victory and the restoration of a just peace, as well as the purpose of the visit to the United States and the issue of long-range travel.

“At first, everyone was afraid to talk about it, then, when we raised this issue, we were easily hinted that untimely questions are very dangerous. And today, to be honest, we came for positive answers. Although it seems that it is impossible. And I believe that we should do everything to open this chance,” he said.

Also during the meeting, the results of the operation in the Kursk region and its strategic goals, impressions from the visit to the USA, in particular the visit to the Scranton Army Ammunition Plant, and the future of Ukraine in NATO were discussed.

“I believe that Ukraine has never been so close to the Alliance as it is today. This is true. A little more determination – and everything will work out,” concluded Volodymyr Zelenskyi.
