We bow our heads. Three years ago, a pupil of FC Lviv was killed in the war

Every day at 9 am, Ukrainians honored the memory of people whose lives took away the Russian-Ukrainian war. Today Sport.ua recalls Peter Gavrilov, who was a pupil of FC “Lviv”, studied at the master’s degree of the Institute of Geodesy, but with the beginning of a full-scale war he volunteered to the front and died exactly three years ago, July 2, 2022. Peter did not live a week to the 22nd anniversary.

Career Petro Gavrilov was born on July 9, 2000 in Lviv. From a young age, the guy supported a healthy lifestyle: playing sports, interested in geography, participating in educational lectures.

Petro was engaged in football at the school of FC Lviv. He advocated the amateur groups “Niva-Kordia” from Zhovtans, Dynamo-Swit from Ryasne-Rus and Kamula from Romanov.

At the time of the full -scale invasion of Gavrilov katsaps, he was a student of the first year of the Master’s degree in the Institute of Geodesy of the University of Lviv Polytechnic. In August, the guy would have to proceed to the undergraduate practice. He was the elder of the group, very active, responsible and purposeful, studied well and shortly before the full -scale war began, he found a work in Kiev in Kiev. He was very glad that he tried in vain and now be able to use the knowledge gained in practice. From Lviv the guy moved to Kiev for internships at the property valuation firm, because it was in this specialty that he studied. He had to work in the company.

“I saw him for the first time on the consecration of the students and remembered it immediately,” recalls the Dean of Bachelor of Dean of the Institute of Geodesy Maria Malanchuk. – I remember that that day, as always, we chose the old age of the group. There were two candidates – Peter and another girl. Then we made a debate to determine who would win. So he was the first to take the initiative: he told everything he plans to do, about his experience, what he was already doing and what he can do well. I confess that then I was very surprised, because, as a rule, freshmen behave very modestly, fear, do not want to speak. Peter, on the contrary – took the initiative, behaved confidently, he was generally sociable, open, friendly. So it is not surprising that he won, because most chose the old man. Even then, from our first meeting, I realized that Peter was a leader, a fully formed personality. ”

Combat experience and death From the first days of a full -scale war, the guy joined volunteering: he assisted in the collection and supply of military assistance, first to the defenders of Kiev, and later – to the fighters of the Eastern Da Southern Front. Later, Peter joined the newly created volunteer battalion “Revolution”. The army had a call sign.

Peter Gavrilov died a week before the 22nd anniversary, July 2, 2022. The circumstances and place of death are not disclosed.

“Peter was a model citizen and a worthy representative of the Ukrainian nation. Always smiling and friendly. Given the life principles of Peter, his choice to go to war was conscious and justified. At home, he had a large loving family (his parents, sister and brother), which he sought to protect, ” – told about his brothers in the battalion” Revolution “.

The soldier was buried on the Mars Field in his native Lviv.
