The EU has no capacity to counteract Russian drones.

The Lithuanian Foreign Minister stressed that Russian provocations found “large gaps” in the defense of Europe and its ability to defend themselves against drones.
“There are large gaps in the EU’s defense. We do not have the necessary equipment that would allow you to detect drones, monitor them, track them and then destroy them. We are not enough,” Budris said.
At the same time, he recalled that Ukraine is fighting drones every night and has integrated systems for counteracting drones.
“We have to bring this technology to the forefront with the Ukrainians and build it there so that it is effective,” Budris said.
Speaking of Russia’s invasion of NATO airspace, Budris said Moscow was using the Alliance’s fluctuations and the debate about how to react to expand the “gray zones”.
“We must very clearly formulate and show Russia that further escalation on them will cause a more rigid reaction,” he said.
Budris also acknowledged the US demand for Europe to strengthen sanctions against Russia as fair.
“We need to look in the mirror. The fact that some European countries have increased the import of LNG from Russia last year is not only shameful but also dangerous because we supply Russia’s military car,” he said.
According to him, as soon as the EU “puts in its own home, it will be easier to produce a proper coordinated strategy with the United States.
“Without the US and without coordination with the US, European sanctions are weak. When the US is ahead and leads the whole train, it works,” he said.
Russian provocations in Europe are other statementsPolish Foreign Minister Radoslav Sikorsky stated that NATO countries would not allow Russia to intimidate them and warned the aggressor country against further provocations.
For his part, Sweden’s Defense Minister Paul Jonson said Sweden would apply force if necessary if Russia violates their airspace.
