Today is a full day of meetings and conferences in Kyiv after the summit of the European Political Community in Budapest. The Ukrainian position was presented. And in general, the development of European policy for the next period should be joint, coordinated and such that it directly helps our partnership in Europe, in the Euro-Atlantic. Just as global affairs decline without a strong America, so without a strong Europe, maintaining stability for European nations is simply impossible. And next week should also bring corresponding results – results in our work with partners.
I spoke today with the President of Finland. About our cooperation – both bilaterally and with a wider range of partners. I am grateful to Finland for all the defense and political support we receive. Already 26 packages of military support. Thank you! They also discussed the prospects of the coming months, as well as Finland’s contacts with other states and other leaders, which are fundamentally important for real peace for Ukraine and the whole of Europe. We are doing everything to force Russia into normal, meaningful negotiations based on international law, not terror.
There was a report of the Central Committee today. Front. The Kurakhiv direction, the Pokrovsky direction are the most difficult now. Military command, command of brigades are working on strengthening positions.
He continued our state tradition of honoring the Heroes of Ukraine – soldiers who showed extraordinary bravery and deserve extraordinary gratitude. 30 more apartments for our Ukrainian Heroes. Soldiers and families of soldiers of the Ground Forces, the Air Force, the Navy, the Airborne Assault Forces, the Special Operations Forces, the Defense Forces, the National Guard of Ukraine, as well as an employee of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region – unfortunately, the fallen Hero of Ukraine. This will always be the basis of the politics of heroes in Ukraine – not only our memory of those who saved Ukraine with their courage, but also our ability to show state honor with concrete actions, concrete decisions, concrete care for Ukrainian heroes.
And one more thing.
I had a special assignment from the government for the entire Ukrainian school – for all Ukrainian teachers. What will support in the coming year. Fixed supplement for all teaching staff of schools: from January one thousand hryvnias for each, from September there will be an increase to 2 thousand hryvnias. The Cabinet of Ministers made this decision today. We all understand that the resources of our state are limited, but the government must help people who work in Ukraine and, of course, for Ukraine. There are funds for this. Government officials are now also preparing other solutions, in particular for the winter support package for Ukrainians, which will be presented this month.
