WBC Grand Prix. Ukrainian Solomennikov flew for the second time from the tournament

On June 21, the battle of 1/8 WBC Grand Prix in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia)-Ukrainian boxer met in the ring Alexander Solomennikov (16–1, 8 KO) and French representative Yoni Valverde (13–0–1, 8 KO).

It is worth noting that the Ukrainian lost in April at the stage of the 1/16 finals, but received a second chance because he had the status of spare at the tournament.

Solomennikov periodically intercepted the initiative from the opponent, moved well on his feet, successfully controved Valverde. But in most episodes, Alexander acted very passively and allowed Yoni to impose power boxing.

Valverde used his long hands, periodically dangerously heard, kept the Ukrainian in the middle distance. According to the results of six rounds, the judges recorded the victory of a boxer from France.

The Ukrainian stopped fighting at the tournament and flew from the Grand Prix for the second time in three months.
