The Polish authorities expect clarifications from Kyiv after reports of anti-corruption investigations, in particular the search of the head of the President’s Office, Andriy Yermak, conducted today, November 28, by NABU and SAP.
Polish Minister of Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamys said this, PAP reports.
Commenting on the situation, Kosiniak-Kamysh emphasized that Warsaw’s strategy for supporting Ukraine remains unchanged, since that is where the border of Polish security passes. At the same time, he emphasized the importance of transparency of anti-corruption policy in Ukraine.
“We are waiting for clarifications,” the minister said.
According to him, Ukraine is going through a difficult period, and information about possible corruption in the top management has a negative impact on the course of peace negotiations.
Kosinyak-Kamysh also expressed hope that the defense capability of Ukraine will not suffer due to situations that may cause political speculation and destructive influences from the enemy.
NABU and SAP conduct searches of the head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak in the government quarter in the morning of November 28. The head of the President’s Office, Andriy Yermak, confirmed that the SAP and NABU searched his apartment.
It is known that on November 26 Umyerov testified to NABU as a witness in the “Mindych case”.
