– The mood is, of course, fighting. A few days ago there was a match with “Chornomorets”, I think we played well in it. And after that they started preparing for the future opponent. We sort out the team, prepare, practice shots.
– In the championship with “Chornomorets” they played on an artificial surface, now they have switched to natural turf. What is the difference, how difficult?
– There is a difference, and not so much because of the covering – after all, they played in an indoor arena, it was not so cold there. But these are all trifles, because this is not the first time we are playing in such weather conditions.
– What does playing in the UEFA Youth League mean for a football player? Many of you defend the colors of the youth national teams, but how important is it to prove yourself on the international stage at the club level? And what is the difference with the matches of the championship of Ukraine?
– First of all, the intensity is higher, since we are playing against the champions of our countries. But we prepare for each opponent with a good fighting spirit.
– In the confrontation with Maribor, our team missed in both matches. Are you aiming for a zero-sum game in the future?
– Of course, there is such a desire, but the first priority is the team’s victory. I don’t go out on the field to play for zero. It doesn’t matter who scores the goals or deflects them – we all win together. So the mood is only for victory.
– Dynamo are forced to play away from home, all matches are played away. Does this add any problems or challenges?
– Undoubtedly, we would like to play in our hometown, in Kyiv, but we all understand why we cannot do that due to the circumstances. That is why we have to play abroad. But we’re already used to it, so I don’t think it will add any difficulties, because it’s not the first time. Now we have good conditions – a training field, a hotel, so no problems.
– “2 Korriku” has already passed two rounds, “Dynamo” passed one round. Could this not be an advantage for the opponent?
– I wouldn’t say so. We played two matches against Maribor, most of our players played for the U-18/19 national team, so they all have experience of playing at the international level. So I don’t think more Corrick 2 matches in the current UEFA Youth League will make any difference.
