President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has signed a new law that radically changes the approach to volunteer activity among students and students.
From now on, the results of volunteer work can be officially enrolled as a practice in higher education institutions, if this activity corresponds to a student’s specialty.
The law also provides for a special document confirming participation in volunteer initiatives, which will be an additional advantage when entering higher education and in the labor market.
According to the new rules, heads of educational institutions are obliged to support the development of volunteer projects and to involve students and students. Volunteering experience will affect motivational letters when joining universities, and will be taken into account when undergoing mandatory practice.
The authors of the bill emphasize that this decision will help young people gain the necessary skills and real experience that is valued by employers.
The volunteer movement in Ukraine has been actively developing since the 1990s, and it has become of particular importance since 2014, when Russia has launched a war against Ukraine. Volunteers play a key role in supporting the Armed Forces, organizing funds, providing military medicines, ammunition, transport and other necessary things.
We will remind, at a meeting in the Vatican, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy sought to persuade the US president to take a harsher position on Vladimir Putin, as well as to change the approach to ceasefire.
