The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, visited the underground advanced surgical group, where doctors receive the wounded directly from the battlefield, provide them with emergency care and have already saved more than 1,000 lives of Ukrainian soldiers.
The underground hospital is capable of receiving up to 200 patients per day and has a full range of modern medical equipment and everything necessary for the accommodation of doctors. Its total area is 500 square meters. Here, they not only stabilize the condition of wounded soldiers, but also can conduct up to four operations at the same time.
Volodymyr Zelenskyi inspected the surgical and resuscitation modules, equipment, as well as working and living conditions.
The President thanked the military medics for their service and for saving the lives of defenders, and also awarded them with the orders of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi III degree and Danylo Halytskyi.
