President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and First Lady Olena Zelenska met with the American actor, producer and UN peace envoy Michael Douglas and his son Dylan.
During the meeting, they discussed the situation in the country, cooperation with partners, in particular the USA, and support for Ukraine.
Particular attention was paid to the results of the fourth Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen, where Michael and Dylan Douglas were special guests on the “Safety of Children in the Family” panel. Olena Zelenska talked about the preparation for this year’s event and the achievements of the previous three summits.
Michael Douglas expressed his admiration for Ukraine and the Ukrainian people, who have shown resilience since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion.
“You are a source of inspiration and a great reminder to our country about what democracy means, about how everyone should be responsible. Democracy is a big job for citizens,” said the actor.
Dylan Douglas added that their family is rooting for Ukraine, and that is why they are here now.
Volodymyr Zelensky thanked the actor and his son for their support and willingness to participate in spreading information about our state.
