January 27 Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina (WTA 12) will play a quarterfinal match of the 2026 Australian Open against the world No. 3 Coco Goff from the USA.

Previously, Svitolina and Goff met each other three times. The score in face-to-face confrontations is 2:1 in favor of the 21-year-old American.

Svitolina won her only victory in 2021 in the match of the second round of the Australian Open. Then Elina reached the 1/8 finals, where she lost to Jessica Pegula.

Svitolina lost to Goff twice in 2024. In January, the tennis players met in the finals of the WTA 250 competition in Auckland (New Zealand), where the Ukrainian lost the next two games after taking the first set in a tie-break.

The next match between Elina and Coco was in the 1/16 finals of the US Open 2026. Svitolina also won the first set, but was unable to force a fight in the second and third.

Svitolina and Goff will start the 2026 Australian Open 1/4 final match on January 27 at approximately 10:00 a.m. Kyiv time at Rod Laver Arena.
