During the concert in Kiev, the artist sang some of his well -known Russian -speaking hits, which caused a wave of indignation in society. Some stars and subscribers have publicly expressed their dissatisfaction, and Danylko even filed an official complaint.
However, the State Language Commissioner Taras Kremin clearly stated that the artist would not receive any punishment. According to the linguistic Ombudsman, the performance of songs in Russian during concerts does not contradict the current legislation.
Kremin explained that by 2021 the issue of songs was not regulated by law at all, and the changes began only after a full -scale invasion, when most artists deliberately switched to Ukrainian.
Taras Kremin emphasized that the law clearly defines: “The language of cultural, entertaining and entertaining events is the state language. However, these provisions do not apply to the performance or reproduction of songs in other languages. ”
Thus, the presence of Russian -speaking compositions in the repertoire is not a ground for punishment.
