Veres – Alexandria. Forecast and announcement for the match of the championship of Ukraine

On Sunday, November 24, a match of the fourteenth round of the Ukrainian Premier Football League will be held in Rivne at the “Avangard” stadium, in which Rivne’s “Veres” and “Alexandria” will play. The starting whistle of referee Andrei Kovalenko from Poltava will sound at 15:30 Kyiv time.

In the first round of the current UPL season, we have one team that played all its matches on the road, Ingulets from Petrovac, as well as one that played most of its matches at home – Rivne’s Veres. Today, Shandruk’s team is a full-fledged UPL middleman, and since no one ever wants to lose a good series, they are also quite dangerous for opponents with their personal interests at this stage of the season.

But everything comes to an end sooner or later, so in the second round, “Veres” will learn what it is like to play most of the matches on foreign fields, and there, too, problems with the results may arise. Even before the end of the current calendar year, the “red and black” will have to play three away matches, so the upcoming home game for them is a farewell to their home fans and, obviously, the club will want to spend it on a high note. We will just have to do without one of the best legionnaires of this UPL season – defender Iago Siqueira, who got through the warning.

Alexandria
No one knows when that moment will come, and whether it will come at all, when Ruslan Rotan’s team will suffer the first defeat of the season. There will be plenty of reasons for the debut negative result in this campaign for “Polygrafov” already at the beginning of December, where they played two games at once against the main competitor in the championship race, “Dynamo” Kyiv, at home and away, since the same match of the first round of the team so far they have not done so.

But it is already possible to say with confidence that the first round of “Alexandria” managed to pass by a wide margin. Rotany’s team distinguished itself with super-reliable defense, which neither “Dynamo”, “Polesie”, nor “Shakhtar” can boast of, as well as quite successful play in attack, since only our two generally recognized giants scored more “polygraphs”. What does it say, if even central defender Migel Kampusch, who earlier in his career was not particularly distinguished by goals in principle, started to score at Rotan, but here he immediately scored a hat-trick in the last round against “Karpat” (3:0).

We still have to deal with the phenomenon of “Alexandria” for a long time, but there is always a risk that we are shown a very beautiful cover right now, and in the end, in the second round, the content that we are counting on may turn out to be completely different under it. One way or another, there will be quite a lot of calls before the “polygraphs” both before the end of this year and after the resumption of the season at the end of February. Moreover, Rotan’s team is far from the most confident in playing matches after long breaks, and “Obolon” has already taken advantage of this (0:0), “Vorskla” fell just short (0:1), but how will things go in “Veres” “?

The biggest victory of “Veres” – 3:1 (1992), “Alexandria” – 3:0 (1996). The teams last played in the middle of May of this year, when the goals of Vitaly Dakhnovsky and Evgeny Morozko against the goals of Mykola Mykhaylenko from the penalty resulted in a draw at the “Avangard” stadium (2:2).
