The artist noted that now the past times seem wonderful to him.
Strykalo left the stage / UNIAN collage / photo instagram/yuriykaplanUkrainian singer Yuriy Kaplan, better known as Valentin Strykalo, unexpectedly shared an archive photo from 2016.
As you know, the once popular band broke up in the spring of 2019. Fans continue to call Yuriy to return to the stage, but he publishes mostly posts on his social networks about meetings for the Ukrainian army, and does not disclose details of his personal life.
Today in Kaplan’s Instagram Stories, an old photo of him appeared, which he nostalgically captioned with the following words:
“2016. Great times that seemed like terrible times.”
photo instagram/yuriykaplan”Valentyn Strykalo” is a Ukrainian indie-pop/indie-rock band, created in 2010 in Kyiv around musician and songwriter Yuriy Kaplan. The project began as an ironic solo image, and later grew into a full-fledged musical group.
The group gained popularity thanks to the combination of light melodies, sincere and at the same time sarcastic lyrics about love, loneliness and youth experiences, as well as a recognizable presentation with elements of self-irony.
Among the band’s most famous songs are “Kayen”, “Seryozha”, “Our summer”, “So warm”, “Everything is decided”, “Cheshevye dramas”. The third and last album of the group called “Recreation” was released in October 2016. Before the band disbanded, the artists toured in particular in Russia.
