On October 22, 2025, the High Anti-Corruption Court announced the sentence to Mykhailo Golovko, the former head of the Ternopil Regional Council, for deliberately entering inaccurate data in his declarations, which is a violation of the law “On Prevention of Corruption”.

The court found him guilty under Part 1 of Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, imposing a fine of 68,000 hryvnias and disqualifying him from holding positions in government bodies.
During the investigation, it was found that Golovko did not show in the declarations for 2022-2023 information about the apartment belonging to his mother, as well as about monetary assets and non-residential premises used by his family. In general, the amount of undeclared property is 2.2 million hryvnias.
The prosecutor’s office noted that the proceedings for 2023 were closed due to changes in the legislation that lowered the threshold of criminal responsibility.
This sentence is part of a series of cases against Golovko, in particular, in June 2025, he was found guilty in a case of bribery in the amount of more than 600 thousand hryvnias.
Such decisions reflect the efforts of anti-corruption bodies of Ukraine in the fight against corruption at the local level and strengthen confidence in the legal system.
