On November 17, the higher anti-corruption court did not finish considering the prosecutors’ request for a preventive measure against former Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Chernyshov, who is being tried in the embezzlement case millions in “Energoatom”. The choice of preventive measure has been postponed until tomorrow, November 18.

During the court session, Oleksiy Chernyshov denied his involvement in the embezzlement case at Energoatom. He stated that he did not know anything about the pseudonym “Che Guevara”, which was allegedly called by other participants in the case.
On November 14, the NABU and SAP submitted to the former Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, Oleksiy Chernyshov, a request to choose a preventive measure in the form of detention.
NABU and SAP documented activity of a criminal organization which included current and former officials of the energy sector, a well-known businessman, and other persons. Its participants built a large-scale corruption scheme to influence the activities of strategic public sector enterprises, in particular JSC NAEK Energoatom.
