A number of suburban trains in the Poltava region will run on changed routes. This is due to large-scale fires in the region.
This is reported by the Ukrzaliznytsia Telegram channel.
As the company said, during this week 7 fire trains and more than 70 railway workers were involved in extinguishing fires in Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk and Sumy regions. There are burning trees in railway right-of-way, bushes, dry grass and forest.
“Currently, they are working at the Mala Pereshchepinsk – Novi Sanzhary, Melnya – Vyrivka stations and have already extinguished the fire near the Kryvyi Rih Zahidny station,” the message said.
Due to the fire at the Mala Pereshchepinska – Novi Sanzhary section, some suburban trains are temporarily running on a changed route.
We will remind you that on September 7, we reported that more than 2,600 hectares were burned in the Chernobyl zone (however, the radiation background remained normal).
In addition, a large-scale fire broke out in the Lyman Forestry in Donetsk region. It is currently being liquidated.
