Utility bills for Ukrainians will be transferred automatically from January 1, so that people do not overpay for heat and water after enemy attacks on infrastructure.

The Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yulia Svyridenko, reported this on Telegram.

According to her, she held a meeting with the head of the State Production and Consumer Service, Serhiy Tkachuk, and instructed her to monitor the calculation process, as well as to promptly respond to all violations.

Svyridenko emphasized that the recalculation should be carried out by service providers and utility companies themselves — without additional statements from consumers. The updated amounts should be reflected in the payments already in February.

“The recalculation should take place automatically for the period from January 1. People should not submit anything – suppliers should do everything,” said the Prime Minister.

The decision concerns the following services:

heat supply;
water supply;
removal of household waste.

The head of the government stressed that Ukrainians should pay only for actually received services.

“If there was no heat or water due to enemy shelling, consumers should not pay for it,” added Svyridenko.

Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko announced the arrival of a new batch of humanitarian aid from France, consisting of 30 generators with a total capacity of 3.4 MW. The equipment has already been handed over for the needs of KP “Kyivteploenergo”, where it will ensure the stable operation of boiler houses and pumping stations.

The Ukrainian Red Cross (UCHR) handed over three generators with a capacity of 13.75 kW to the geriatric boarding house in Kyiv .
