According to media reports, during the big WBC congress, which will take place at the end of the month, the president of the organization, Mauricio Suleiman, plans to talk with Oleksandr Usyk about the future plans of the boxer.
The Ukrainian confirmed that he would come to the meeting.
Currently, the interim WBC champion is Agit Kabael, who will defend this status on January 10.
After that, the organization authorizes mandatory protection for Usyk. If Alexander refuses the fight, he will lose the title.
This could be the second belt the champion loses. On Monday, the super heavyweight refused to defend the WBO title and made it vacant, and Fabio Wordley became the champion.
