Absolute World Champion Alexander Usik He explained why he would finish his career soon.

“I have two sons, older now 12, and the younger one – 10. And they need me very much during this period of their lives. My daughters I also want to pay as much attention as possible. Family for me is the most important, and I want to be present in the life of my children not only episodically, but constantly.

Now everything looks like this: I spend half a year at training and fees, preparing for battles, and the other half a year – at home. Although, to be honest, it is not even full of six months, but perhaps four and a half. And this time is not enough for my family.

I do not just want to go home after the grueling preparatory process, but to live with them – to see how children grow, to be near in important moments, to support my wife every day. Boxer’s career takes too much time and effort, and I understand that I do not want to balance all life between sports and family without having to give them completely, ”Usik said.

Recall that on July 19, 2025, a large box of boxing with a match for absolute was held at the Wembley stadium in London.
