According to the newspaper, the White House appealed to the Pentagon to prepare other options for additional weapons. Officials also study whether other countries can provide more “patriots” to Ukraine.
In parallel, the possibility of attracting allies to transfer to Kiev several more systems of this type is considered.
According to the former Pentagon official, the United States provided three Patriot systems to Kiev, Germany sent three more, as well as one installation transferred to the consortium of European countries. However, not all of these systems work simultaneously because of complexity with maintenance.
