Details: The license, which ends on August 20, five days after the summit, allows the Russian government to spend, and to US companies and other entities to accept payments related to the summit, which otherwise could be prohibited by US sanctions.

The license allows payments that “are usually indirect and necessary to participate or support meetings in the state of Alaska between the United States Government and the Russian Federation Government.”
The Ministry of Finance’s message from Wednesday, August 13, does not indicate which operations will be permitted.
According to the media, Trump reported on Wednesday, August 13, to President Vladimir Zelensky and European leaders that his goals at the summit with the Kremlin head, who is scheduled for August 15, are to reach a truce and a better understanding of the possibility of concluding a complete peace treaty.
Zelensky stated that Trump would call him after meeting with the Kremlin head in Alaska.
The US president also stated that if a meeting on Alaska with the Kremlin head will go well – he will hold a second meeting in which Zelensky will be able to participate.
