Umerov: during the year, the mobilization indicators increased three times

The next step is the reform of the TCC, the minister said”, — write: www.radiosvoboda.org

The Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Rustem Umyerov, announced a three-fold increase in mobilization rates over the course of a year. He wrote about it in a column for Forbes Ukraine, summing up his first year as a minister.

“We have tripled the mobilization rates. And the opportunities for training the Ukrainian military have been expanded five times. The next step is TCC reform. We are also working on this,” Umyerov wrote in a column published on September 23.

He also noted the digitalization of the army.

“Army+”, “Reserve+” applications for the military have been launched, and in the future we are waiting for the launch of “Veteran+”. “Reserve+” – almost 3.5 million Ukrainians received an electronic military registration document in a minute. We have reduced the physical load on TCC several times. They gave an online alternative to the outdated Soviet processes,” the minister added.

On May 18, the law on mobilization entered into force. Among other things, it provides that all conscripts, conscripts and reservists between the ages of 18 and 60 must update their data – mobile phone number, actual address of residence and email (if available). It had to be done by July 16 inclusive.

Also, those conscripted for the duration of martial law must always carry a military registration document with them and present them at the request of the police or employees of the TCC.

On April 11, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a law on improving certain issues of mobilization, military registration and military service. This decision was supported by 283 people’s deputies – mainly from the ruling party “Servant of the People” and allied factions and groups. The provision on the conditions of military demobilization disappeared from the final version of the document.

In July, on Radio Svoboda, Defense Ministry spokesman Dmytro Lazutkin said that the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is developing a draft law on demobilization, but its appearance depends on “a number of factors”, in particular, the situation at the front, the pace of mobilization, and the interaction of those structures that influence it.
