“Today, by order of the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Pavlo Tkachuk was dismissed from the post of head of the National Academy of Land Forces named after Hetman Petro Sahaidachny,” the message says.

What preceded:

  • Employees of the State Bureau of Investigation in cooperation with the Security Service of Ukraine reported the suspicion to Artur Antoniv, head of the training course of one of the faculties of the National Academy of Land Forces named after Hetman Petro Sahaidachny.
  • According to the investigation, the officer beat and humiliated the cadets for more than a year, trying to “teach” them discipline and order. This took place on the territory of the academy in Lviv and in the barracks in one of the villages of the region.
  • In September 2024, the case was transferred to the court.
