The Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umyerov and the Chief of the General Staff Anatoliy Bargylevych held a meeting with the military to discuss the urgent needs of the Ukrainian army and further steps to modernize it.

Umerov announced this on Facebook.

The main topic of the meeting was the provision of the Armed Forces, including the development of a new model of military uniforms that will be more comfortable and functional thanks to the proposals of the military themselves.

In addition, the Ministry of Defense plans to implement new standards of military cuisine and improve the processes of modification and repair of equipment and weapons. Umerov noted that he is ready to test new solutions with the possibility of scaling them to the entire army.

Also discussed was the need to improve the quality of military training to adapt it to modern conditions of war, as well as the introduction of innovative approaches by the Allies. In particular, the army will expand the use of Nettle and DELTA software, which contributes to better coordination of military operations.

The Ministry of Defense is also working on the implementation of full electronic document management and reform of the TCC. Special attention was paid to the reforms of the Air Force and the development of the Unmanned Systems Forces. Umerov emphasized that updating the doctrines and legal framework should ensure the army’s compliance with modern requirements.

In order to improve the implementation of changes, it was decided to create a new coordinating body that will deal with the collection of problematic issues, the formation of proposals and the control of their implementation.

We previously wrote that the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense codified and approved the domestic UAT-TISA armored car for use in the Defense Forces.

We will also remind you that the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has strengthened the requirements for the quality of poultry meat, as well as fish and dairy products supplied to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
