“Ukrzaliznytsia” announced the launch of the “Magic Express” – retro steam-powered trains that will run on the St. Nicholas weekend. Trips will last up to two hours.

Steam trains will leave for three days:

December 5 – 14:00 and 17:00

December 6 – 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m

December 7 – 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m
The train will run within the city limits with one stop. The express will include children’s carriages adapted for passengers from 0 years old. The trip starts from Lviv-Golovny and Kyiv-Pasazhyrsky railway stations.
“UZ” advises to come to the station 30 minutes before departure, because an entertainment program is organized for children.
“In the event of an air alert, trains will continue to run as scheduled, and children’s activities will be moved from the platforms to shelters,” the company said.
This year, the express train is especially aimed at children from front-line communities, as well as children of railway workers – wounded, dead and active employees of the Defense Forces.
Residents of Kharkiv Oblast, Sumy Oblast, Donetsk Oblast, Mykolaiv Oblast, Kherson Oblast, Chernihiv Oblast, Zaporozhye and Dnipropetrovsk Oblast can get to Kyiv or Lviv free of charge under the “3000 km in Ukraine” program and get on the “Magic Express”.
To get on the holiday train, you need to activate the “3000 km in Ukraine” program in the “Ukrzaliznytsia” application, buy tickets to Kyiv or Lviv for bonus kilometers on December 4-7 – for yourself and your child, register using the link and wait for confirmation from “UZ” and get tickets for “Charivny Express”.
