Ukrzaliznytsia announced that they are launching additional flights to six popular destinations during the Christmas and New Year holidays, the company’s press service reported on December 16.
Additional trains will run from Kyiv to Truskavets, Lviv, Odesa, Chervnivtsi and Uzhgorod, as well as from Odesa to Lviv.
The Company reported the following flights:
- Train #159/160 Kyiv – Truskavets. Departure from Kyiv and Truskavets: December 23, 24, 30, 31, 2024.
- Train No. 291/292 Kyiv – Lviv. Departures from Kyiv and Lviv: December 20, 21, 22, 27, 28, 29, 2024, as well as January 3, 4, 5, 2025.
- Train No. 168/167 Odesa – Lviv. Departures from Odesa and Lviv: December 21, 22, 23, 28, 29, 30, 2024 and January 4, 5, 11, 12, 2025.
- Train No. 265/266 Kyiv – Odesa. Departures from Kyiv and Odesa: December 20, 21, 22, 27, 28, 29, 2024, as well as January 5 and 12, 2025.
- Train No. 249/250 Kyiv – Chernivtsi. Departure from Kyiv: December 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, 30, 2024 and January 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 2025.
- Train No. 235/236 Kyiv – Uzhhorod. Departure from Kyiv: December 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, 30, 2024 and January 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 2025.
The Orthodox Church of Ukraine switched to the New Julian calendar from September 1, 2023. It provides for the celebration of Christmas on December 25, not January 7.
