The railwaymen are doing everything possible to restore traffic in the standard mode as soon as possible, adds “Ukrzaliznytsia”.
In the morning of December 22, Ukrzaliznytsia reported that a freight train derailed near Korosten in Zhytomyr Oblast, as a result of which some people were injured and a number of trains were delayed. Previously, a freight train derailed due to the detonation of a drone, probably of the Shahed type.
Since then, a number of passenger trains have been running on the detour route.
Later, it became known that in Zhytomyr region, as a result of a Russian drone attack on the objects of the energy and transport infrastructure of the region, four employees of “Ukrzaliznytsia” were injured. The State Emergency Service reported that an accident had occurred on the railway tracks.
