In 2024, JSC “Ukrposhta” increased the number of international shipments by 41% compared to the figure of 2023 – up to 36 million shipments in the export and import direction. Yulia Pavlenko, director of the international operations department of Ukrposhta JSC, reported this, Interfax-Ukraine reports. “In 2024, we reach an indicator of about 36 million shipments in the export and import direction (not taking into account simple letters and letters without tracking numbers, which are sent in a simple order without tracking – ed). This indicator of work was recorded as of December 17, 2024. In 2023, it amounted to 25.5 million tracked shipments,” Pavlenko said. According to her, imports prevail: since the beginning of 2024, 32 million parcels have been delivered to Ukraine. These are mainly goods from foreign marketplaces, in particular, from China, which Ukrainians can buy cheaper than in Ukraine. Advertising: “Export is less, but of course it is more valuable for us, since it is about the sale of goods of Ukrainian manufacturers on the foreign market. This is mainly – handmade”, – said Pavlenko. The director of the international operations department of JSC “Ukrposhta” reported that only on the largest handmade platform in the USA today – 38,000 Ukrainians have already opened their own shops on Etsy.As of January 1, 2025, Ukrposhta will introduce an approach to the formation of parcel delivery rates that will depend on volume, not weight.
