“Ukrposhta” showed new holographic stamps of “Insects of Ukraine” as part of the prestigious series

On Wednesday, October 30, Ukrposhta issued seven new stamps depicting insects of Ukraine. They became a continuation of the series, which won many international awards in 2018.

This was announced by the Director General of Ukrposhta Ihor Smilyanskyi.

According to him, the new stamp continues the unique series of 2018, which collected the largest number of prestigious philatelic awards.

“This is a real triumph of Ukrainian philately in the world – the stamp was recognized as the best in the world. The specialty is in the technology of embossing with a holographic film, which creates a 3D effect and emphasizes the beauty of each insect,” said the head of Ukrposhta.

The authors of the idea and designers of the issue were graphic artists Serhii and Oleksandr Haruka, and the author of the artistic envelope was Nataliya Kohal.

In 2018, the holographic stamps of “Insects of Ukraine” triumphantly broke into the philatelic world and collected many awards, including the Grand Prix of the WIPA exhibition (Austria), the Grand Prix of the Asiago philatelic art award (Italy) and the 2nd place in the Nexofil Award competition. The continuation of the “Insects of Ukraine” series will be represented by seven holographic stamps, namely:
