The operator of the energy system “Ukrenergo” announces for tomorrow, November 5, the limitation of electricity consumption in certain regions due to the consequences of massive Russian missile and drone attacks on energy facilities.

According to the report, tomorrow there will be an hourly shutdown schedule for the public with the volume of 1 to 2 shifts – from 07:00 to 21:00. These are increased volumes compared to today.

Also, “Ukrenergo” will apply capacity limitation schedules for industrial consumers from 07:00 to 22:00.

The energy system operator warns that the time and scope of restrictions may change.

In recent weeks, the Russian military has intensified its shelling of the Ukrainian energy and gas infrastructure, which supplies people with gas during the heating season.

On October 30, the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine stated that due to Russian attacks there is a serious risk of dangerous consequences for civilians this winter, including prolonged interruptions in heating, electricity and water supply. According to the UN, such interruptions will have a particularly painful effect on vulnerable groups of the population, such as the elderly, persons with disabilities and families with small children.

In August, the Ministry of Energy reported that since March 2025, Russian forces have carried out more than 2,900 attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.
