The head of “Ukrenergo” Vitaly Zaichenko said that after the Russian attack on December 6, it will take not a few days, but weeks, to stabilize the energy supply in the country.

According to Zaichenko, today the light should not be available until 8 o’clock. However, due to the attack on the power system, the duration of outages increased.
“Unfortunately, power outages in most regions last not until 8 a.m., but probably until 12-4 p.m. Today we should have just such schedules from 4 to 8 hours. But due to strikes on the power system, the duration of outages increased,” he said.
He noted that in order to improve the situation, teams of energy engineers are already working. However, the situation is difficult and recovery will take longer than before.
“The situation is quite difficult and in the near future… we are not talking about days, but about weeks, when it will be necessary to recover,” said Zaichenko.
He added that both consumers and sunny weather can improve the situation.
“The only way to improve the situation is to change the behavior of our consumers, who can help energy companies. Namely, to reduce consumption, to use the most energy-intensive ones only at night or when the weather is very sunny”, – summarized the head of the company’s board.
