“Consumption is growing. Today, November 25, as of 6:00 a.m., its level was 3.7% higher than at the same time the previous working day – Friday, November 22. This is explained by the decrease in air temperature in most regions of Ukraine,” the message reads.
Ukrenergo reminded that now the Ukrainian energy system continues to recover after ten massive Russian attacks, it still has a significant capacity deficit, and emergency and scheduled repairs are ongoing at energy facilities.
“In order to balance the power system, hourly blackout schedules are in effect today in all regions from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The situation in the power system is changing, and accordingly — changes in the application of restriction measures are also possible. You can find out the current schedule of blackouts in your region on the website or official pages of the distribution system operator (oblenergo),” Ukrenergo added.
They also noted that during the day, electricity will be imported from Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary and Moldova.
The day before, Ukrenergo warned that on November 25 in Ukraine, hourly power cuts will be applied from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and there will be one round of shutdowns.
According to the Ministry of Energy, since October 2022, Russia has carried out more than a thousand strikes on Ukrainian energy infrastructure facilities, this year alone 9 GW of generating capacity was lost due to strikes.
