“Ukrenergo” announced how the blackout queues will operate tomorrow

Consumption restriction measures will last from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. during the day of December 26, the operator of the energy system “Ukrenergo” announced on Wednesday evening.

According to the report, consumption restrictions will apply to household consumers as follows:

  • 08:00 – 17:00 – one and a half queues of shutdowns
  • 17:00 – 21:00 – one round of shutdowns

For industry and business, capacity restriction schedules will be in effect from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

“The reason for the temporary tightening of restrictions is damage to energy facilities as a result of a massive missile and drone attack on December 25. Energy workers are working to restore equipment damaged by the enemy to work as soon as possible,” the company reports.

“Ukrenergo” warns that the duration and scope of restrictions may change during the day. The operator also asks to consume electricity sparingly when the lights appear on schedule.

During the night and morning of December 25, Ukraine was subjected to a massive air attack by the Russian Federation. Throughout the night, many regions were alarmed by attack drones launched by the Russian military, and in the morning, missiles of various types flew across Ukraine.

In connection with this attack, “consumption restriction measures have been applied” in Ukraine, the National Energy Company “Ukrenergo” reported on the morning of January 25.
