More than half of Ukrainians — 51.4% — expressed their readiness to protest if the Ukrainian authorities agree to unacceptable concessions during peace negotiations with Russia.
This is evidenced by the results of a recent survey conducted by the Info Sapiens company on the order of the “New Europe” Center and published by the “European Truth” publication.
44.3% of respondents do not plan to join the protest actions, and another 4.4% could not decide on an answer.
The study also showed how the attitude of Ukrainians to a possible temporary relinquishment of the occupied territories was changing.
40.2% of respondents now consider such an idea absolutely unacceptable, while a year ago this indicator was 53.2%, and two years ago – 76.2%. Despite this, only 5.1% of survey participants said they would be able to support such a concession.
Legal recognition of the occupied regions by Russia remains a taboo issue for most Ukrainians. Only 2% of respondents approve of this possibility, while 76.6% are categorically against it.
This shows that even in spite of war fatigue, society continues to reject scenarios that could question state sovereignty.
It will be recalled that the American “peace plan” has been reduced to 19 points and is being kept secret.
Trump’s peace plan also caused a split in the Republican Party.
