The Russian authorities continue to implement the policy of militarization of education, and history teachers are actively encouraged to instill in schoolchildren hatred for Ukraine and the countries of the West.
This was reported by the Center for Combating Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine in Telegram.
It is known that history teachers in Russian schools are strongly “recommended” to organize, as part of extracurricular activities, children’s search for “SVO veterans” in their localities.
Schoolchildren are also taught to give them gifts and provide various assistance. According to the results of such tasks, students must write works for the formation of “correct value orientations”.
This technique, based on Soviet educational practices, is designed to form the image of “enemies of Russia” in the minds of young people. This is evidenced by the information of the Center for Political Studies, which emphasizes that the structure of propaganda includes the participation of veterans and military personnel.
It is noted that Russia thus uses Soviet educational methods of “working with veterans”, which are part of a large-scale policy of militarization in the Russian Federation.
“Children are being inculcated with hatred towards Ukraine and the countries of the West. The image of “enemies of Russia” is being formed in the minds of children, and an aggressive war is justified as the inevitable necessity of “protecting the Motherland”, – says the message of the CPD.
Despite the pressure, some schoolchildren are looking for opportunities to enter Ukrainian higher education institutions and want to leave the occupied areas, which shows resistance to propaganda. These actions speak of the desire of young people to cultivate independence and critical thinking in the conditions of instilling hatred.
