Vlad Cherevko I have been interested in all kinds of electronics and technologies since 2004. I like to play computer games, and I understand the work of different gadgets. I regularly monitor the news of the technology in the world and write materials about it.
The delivery time was less than two weeks, which is more than 4 times faster than the standard procurement procedure. The fastest order came to the front in 6 days.
As of now, the military has formed 43 applications for almost 7000 drones (FPV and bombers) with a total value of about UAH 245 million. In the pilot mode, 12 crews are connected to the system, which operate in areas with the highest intensity of hostilities. The first orders were made on July 31.
The Dot-Chain Defense IT system has been developed by a state-owned rear operator (DOT) and is used by defense procurement agency for operational and targeted arms.
For the effective start of Dot-Chain Defense, the AOZ and DOT team conducted online training and outbound consultations in the war zone. During the visits, the military helped the first orders. According to AOP Director Arsen Zhumadilov, such trips are planned to be made regular to collect feedback and adapt the system to the needs of the Armed Forces.
The Dot-Chain Defense system works like a marketplace: the military independently select the type and number of drones, which are then purchased at the expense of AOP. Only FPV drones are currently available, but in the future, the system is planned to be scaled to other departments of the Armed Forces and the expansion of the range-in particular the means of HR/Rer, NRC and additional types of drones.
