Ukrainian military personnel completed training in France and received modern equipment

More than 2,000 soldiers of the Ukrainian “Anna of Kyiv” brigade, who were trained by the French side for two months, are preparing to return to Ukraine. This is the first Ukrainian brigade that not only underwent training, but was also fully equipped by France as part of the European Union’s military training mission for Ukraine. The Ukrainian military learned from the instructors of the French operational group “Champagne” how to interact effectively on the battlefield and how to use the weapons that France will provide to confront Russia.

It is noted that after full deployment, the “Anna Kyivska” brigade will consist of 4,500 soldiers, among whom will be infantrymen, engineers, artillery teams and other specialists. Most of them were recently mobilized and had only a few weeks of basic training before arriving in France this September.

The brigade’s arsenal will consist of 18 light tanks AMX 10, 18 Caesar artillery mounted on trucks, 128 armored personnel carriers, anti-tank and anti-aircraft missile systems and other weapons.

The minister also recalled that last month he personally met with Ukrainian military personnel who were undergoing training in France, and noted their high fighting spirit and level of training.

At the same time, the General Staff of France showed footage of the training on the X social network and reminded that this is the first Ukrainian brigade trained and equipped in France.
