According to the press service of “Genoa”, during the match “Venice” – “Genoa” (2:0), Malinovsky suffered a terrible injury to his right ankle. The Ukrainian football player had a dislocation of the ankle joint and a fracture of the fibula.
It is noted that tomorrow, September 22, the 31-year-old midfielder will undergo an operation.

In Ukraine, Malinovskyi played for Shakhtar Donetsk and also played for Zorya (Luhansk).
In 2016, Malinovskyi moved to Belgium, joining Genk. During his time at the club, he helped Genk win the Belgian championship in the 2018-2019 season, and his play was praised for his ability to score long shots and excellent field vision.
In 2019, the footballer moved to the Italian “Atalanta”, where he quickly became an important player. With Atalanta, Malinowski achieved great success in Serie A, including helping the club reach a place in the UEFA Champions League, where the team displayed impressive results.
The 2020-2021 season was particularly successful for Malinovskyi – he became the best assistant in Serie A, making 12 assists and scoring several decisive goals.
At the beginning of 2023, Malinovskyi moved to “Marseille” (France), but could not fully establish himself in the team’s starting lineup. In August 2023, he went on loan to Genoa, where he continued his performances in Serie A.
