In total, Cyprus deprived 77 people of their “golden passports”, including Russian and Ukrainian businessmen and their relatives.

The publication notes that the list of persons on whom the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of Cyprus has already been made was compiled about a month ago.

The list includes intermediaries, including legal and audit firms, through which the documents were issued.

There is also Ukrainian businessman Ihor Kolomoiskyi, whose citizenship was revoked earlier. Also, businessman Vadym Shulman, owner of agricultural holding UkrLandFarming Oleg Bakhmatyuk, and the owner of the Energy Standard group Kostiantyn Hrygoryshyn are among them.

Family members of businessmen who submitted documents together with them also lost their citizenship. Kolomoisky, Hryhoryshyn and Shulman have one person each, and Bakhmatyuk has five.

According to Politis, criminal cases have already been initiated against some former owners of the “golden passports” of Cyprus, and they are being investigated by the police.
