It is noted that in 2024, taxed imports amounted to $57.4 billion, which is 81% of the total volume of imported goods.
The tax burden on 1 kg of taxed imports in 2024 was $0.51/kg, which is 5% more than in 2023.
China ($14.4 billion), Poland ($7 billion) and Germany ($5.4 billion) remain the leaders among the countries from which goods were imported to Ukraine.
The following categories of goods accounted for 65% of the total volume of goods imported in 2024:
machines, equipment and transport – $25 billion (during the customs clearance of the specified goods, UAH 172.3 billion was paid to the budget, which is 29% of the receipts of customs payments);
products of the chemical industry – $11.7 billion (87.7 billion UAH were paid to the budget during the customs clearance of these goods, which is 15% of the receipts of customs payments);
fuel and energy – $8.9 billion (during the customs clearance of the specified goods, UAH 157.6 billion was paid to the budget, which is 27% of the receipts of customs payments).

The top three goods exported from Ukraine included food products ($24.6 billion), metals and their products ($4.4 billion), machines, equipment and transport ($3.5 billion).
For 2024, 311.3 million hryvnias were paid to the budget during the customs clearance of the export of goods subject to an export duty.
As reported by Ukrinform, during 2023 Ukraine imported goods in the amount of $63.5 billion, and exported goods in the amount of $36 billion.
