The Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Igor Zhovkva met with the Director of the Eurasian Economic Cooperation and Development Department (OECD) by William Thomson.
William Thomson emphasized the significant progress of Ukraine in the field of combating corruption. Thanks to the efforts of the intercologous group to develop proposals for Ukraine’s participation in the OECD working group to combat bribery in international business operations under the chairmanship of Presidential Head Andriy Yermak, the Verkhovna Rada approved the necessary legislation. This made it possible for our country to obtain the status of a participant in this OECD working group.
William Thomson also noted the successful implementation of economic reforms despite Russian aggression. This is one of the prerequisites for our country’s membership in the OECD.
“We are grateful to the OECD for the important work, for the preparation of the document for evaluating the economic situation in Ukraine and the progress of progress. This is very important for Ukraine, for our partners, for current and future investors in the rebuilding and economic development of our country, ”Igor Zhovkva emphasized.
In addition, the OECD plays an important role in the preparation of the process of recovery of our country and will actively assist in rebuilding. Igor Zhovkva noted that Ukraine is already developing the concept of economic development after the war.
“Ukraine is detached before the production of innovative products with high value added. Our state should become a high -tech country attractive to foreign investors, with a reliable investment climate. Ukraine is firmly moving through the implementation of all the necessary reforms to achieve this goal, as well as for the acquisition of membership in the OECD, which is no less important than membership in the EU and NATO, ”Igor Zhovkva stressed.
