“The Czech Republic will develop and transfer to Ukraine a new satellite for monitoring the Earth’s surface, which will be able to work in any weather conditions and at night. This initiative is part of the government program to support the recovery of Ukraine, the Czech Ministry of Transport reported”, — write: www.radiosvoboda.org
The device will collect data using radar scanning technology, which allows monitoring at night and in bad weather. It can be used for reconnaissance and civilian purposes.
According to the ministry’s message, the new satellite will be developed within the country, and its transfer takes place within the framework of the Czech government’s program for the restoration of Ukraine. It follows from the message that Ukraine will receive more such devices. It is not specified who will launch them into orbit.
The headquarters of the EU space program agency is located in Prague. The organization ensures the operation of EU satellites, in particular those developed by the research European Space Agency.
