Ukraine has received a new financial assistance tranche from the European Union for two programs. Billion euros were provided through Era Loans, and another 3.05 billion was provided in the report of Ukraine Facility.
This was reported by Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko.
In total, Ukraine received 4.05 billion euros from partners, of which one billion euros under Era Loans, funding for income from frozen assets of Russia, and 3.05 billion euros – within Ukraine Facility for restoration and integration.
“This support strengthens both the state budget and the reconstruction process. I thank the European partners. Together, we are confident in the future of Ukraine in strong and united Europe, ”Sviridenko added.
On August 8, the EU Council has decided to provide Ukraine with a fourth tranche of financial support within Ukraine Facility.
The fourth tranche of financial assistance to Ukraine within the framework of Ukraine Facility will be reduced as the state has not implemented all the reforms necessary for full payment.
The Italian government listed the first EUR25 million tranche for the restoration of Ukraine’s energy system as part of a joint initiative with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). The total cost of the project is EUR200 million.
