Ukraine presented its pavilion not for Sale at the Expo 2025 World Exhibition in Osaka (Japan). This was reported on the website of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.
– The Ukrainian pavilion caused such a hype that the organizers had to attract movement regulators. Up to 1500 visitors pass through our pavilion every hour, and in half a year the number of people who will see it, according to the organizers, will reach 23 million. So it is a strategic opportunity Show our values and sustainability. We demonstrate that even in the most difficult conditions, Ukrainians continue to fight, develop, become innovative. For me, it is also an opportunity to show our economic potential-to tell the stories of entrepreneurs who, despite the war and destruction, are released into new markets and striking the world,-said the first Viceremier-Minister-Minister of Economy Yulia Sviridenko.
Ukraine has opened the Pavilion Not for Sale (not for sale), which looks like a shop in which, however, you can not buy anything. There are 18 objects that symbolize important human values, such as freedom, dignity and stability. Each object has a barcode that visitors can scan. Instead of prices on the product on the screen, video histories from Ukraine appear, which metaphorically reflect the cost of rights such as education, freedom of choice and medical care.
The official opening of the pavilion was held with the participation of the honorary consul of Ukraine in Japan, representatives of the Ministry of Economy of Japan and other guests who congratulated Ukraine on the beginning of the exhibition. The project was made possible by the free space provided by Japan, as well as the support of the UN in Ukraine, Ukrzaliznytsia and Caparol.
Ukraine’s participation in Expo 2025 has become possible thanks to the support of Ukrainian businesses. Next to the main pavilion is the Values-Driven Economy area (“Economics, driven by values”), which presents artifacts of companies operating in Ukraine despite the war. Among the exhibits are the DTEK helmet, Ajax siren, oil from Ukrnafta, as well as Astarta, Biosphere and Oschadbanka. Each exhibit symbolizes the stability of Ukrainian entrepreneurs.
Expo 2025 is a World Exhibition, which takes place from April 13 to October 13, 2025 in Osaka, Japan. This is the second exhibition of this level for Osaka after Expo in 1970. The main theme of the event is “Creating a Society of the Future for Our Life”, which reflects the desire for sustainable development and innovation.
