The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy, Danylo Hetmantsev, said this.
According to the people’s deputy, in order to withdraw funds from the “shadow”, it is necessary to significantly increase the efficiency of the work of fiscal bodies and the Bureau of Economic Security.
“We have to tie the tenure of specific officials to indicators of detinization. It should not be simply over-fulfillment of plans, it should be KPIs that specifically determine that DPS, DMS, BEB really carry out detinization,” he emphasized.
At the same time, Hetmantsev called UAH 60 billion, which the government has put into the state budget for this year as expected revenues from detinization, “a curtsey to the detinizers.” In his opinion, such a step will not provide a tangible effect for the budget.
“Because this is money in a special fund, it is not tied to specific expenses. And writing these 60 billion to the state budget, the Ministry of Finance does not really count on them. And I want to draw your attention to the fact that this is 60 billion – exclusively from the detinization of customs. That is, we are talking about exceeding the plan for customs payments, which we did not have either in the past or in the years before last. And given the current state of customs, this amount is simply not believable,” explained the head of the parliamentary committee.
