Ukraine attacked Russia with 8 ATACMS missiles, Russia managed to intercept two of them. Reuters writes about this with reference to the US representative, reports UNN.

“… Russia managed to intercept two of the eight missiles fired by Ukraine, and that the strike was aimed at the ammunition supply point,” the report said.

Let’s add

Ukraine used US ATACMS missiles to strike Russian territory on Tuesday, taking advantage of a recently granted authorization from former President Joe Biden’s administration for the 1,000th day of the war.

Russia said its forces shot down five of six missiles that were fired at a military facility in the Bryansk region. It is noted that debris from one of them fell on the object, causing a fire, which was quickly extinguished, and there were no casualties or damage.

The Ukrainian military has not publicly specified what weapons they used, but a Ukrainian government source and a US official confirmed that they used ATACMS.

We will remind

This week, Biden approved Ukraine’s use of ATACMS, the longest-range missiles supplied by Washington, for such attacks in Russia. Moscow has described their potential use as an escalation that would make Washington a direct combatant in the war and lead to Russian retaliation.
