Ukraine’s air defense is currently in a “good position” with regard to the supply of missiles. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated this in an interview with Ukrainian Radio on Saturday, November 16.
“Today, in terms of agreements on missiles for Patriot, NASAMS, Hawk, IRIS-T, etc. — many air defense systems — we are in a very good position,” Zelenskyy said, without specifying the number.

The president is sure that the Russians will continue to attack the power system in the winter, so Ukraine is preparing for such a scenario by increasing the number of air defense systems and improving the fight against enemy drones.
On November 1, the US announced a $425 million aid package to Ukraine, which included ammunition for NASAMS, HIMARS and Stryker armored personnel carriers.
On November 9, the Wall Street Journal, citing a senior White House official, reported that the Pentagon would send Ukraine more than 500 interceptor missiles for the Patriot and NASAMS anti-missile defense systems, which are expected to arrive in the coming weeks.
On November 10, Zelensky announced work with the United States on new defense packages to strengthen air defense.
