Starting from Monday, January 26, 2026, a change in air masses is expected in most regions of Ukraine, which will bring a gradual increase in temperature.

According to forecaster Natalka Didenko, after a frosty night, when thermometers may drop to -16 degrees in the east, the daytime temperature in the western and southern regions will rise to +5 degrees. The central and northern regions will be in the thaw zone with indicators from 0 to -5 degrees, while in the northeast, the cold will still remain within the range of -6…-12 degrees.

The change in weather will be accompanied by precipitation in the form of snow and sleet in the center and north, and rain is possible in the southern regions. The main threat of the day will be a strong southeast wind with storm gusts, which will significantly increase the feeling of cold and complicate the situation on the roads. In Kyiv, -10 degrees at night will be replaced by -2…-4 degrees during the day against the background of high humidity, cloudiness and probable freezing rain, which will require drivers and pedestrians to be especially vigilant.

Cyclone and anticyclone will meet over Ukraine: snow, wind and the first signs of warming.

As a reminder, a yellow level of danger has been announced in a number of regions of Ukraine due to fog.
